Introducing Fremont Debate Academy's seventh annual summer camp! This debate camp will be taught during 8 sessions and through asynchronous debates and office hours. We will be teaching the nationally recognized Middle School Public Debate format, gearing students toward competition in the future. Apart from lecture based instruction, the camp will include practice debates, competitive experiences, and more! Our instructors feature nationally ranked debaters from across the country, college students from UC Berkeley, Oxford, and more. Our instructors have been able to push FDA’s debate programs to place Top 10 at National Tournaments, and be awarded #1 in the South Bay Debate League. FDA alumni and current students have qualified to elimination rounds or won tournaments in prestigious high school invitationals over 300 times, and include the youngest qualifiers to the National Tournament of Champions in Irvington Debate history. Students will be placed into Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Mastery sections based on previous experience. This camp is for only current and incoming 4th to 9th graders.
