FDA x Hirsch
Register for FDA Hirsch’s 7th annual program here! This program is only for 4th - 6th grade students. The program will be capped at ~35-45 students on a first come first serve basis. The registration deadline is March 10th.
This year, Fremont Debate Academy (FDA), a 501 © (3) non-profit organization, is running an 8 week long competitive debate program focusing on the Middle School Public Debate Format at Hirsch Elementary School. This is FDA’s 7th year operating at Hirsch. Students will learn various structured forms of argumentation, and research techniques. Through practice sessions, drills, and mini-competitions, students’ public speaking skills will be vastly improved. It will be led by Rachit Parmar and Ayush Pareek, two high school debaters at Irvington High School. At the end of the school year, there will be an FDA international tournament!
FDA Hirsch sessions will be held every Thursday at Hirsch Elementary School (in-person) from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. There will be 8 classes for this program. The first session will take place on March 16th, and the last will be on May 18th. April 13th will be excluded due to Spring Break.
